Our Story

Icona Classic and Sports was born out of a lifelong passion for Iconic Classic, Sports and Competition cars along with a desire to provide exceptional customer service and a car buying experience like no other.

Company founder Matthew Rogers has been exposed to the world of Iconic Motor Cars and Motorsport for as long as he can remember.  He recalls learning to drive not too long after learning to walk and as a youngster was continually surrounded by an eclectic mix of road and race cars; his Father enjoying a collection of iconic road cars over the years along with competing in motorsport, and this soon led to young Matthew catching the motoring bug.

Matthew has always been immersed in driving and all things automotive.  He found any excuse to be involved with these Iconic cars from a very young age and began competing in Motorsport from the age of 8, enjoying success in a variety of categories which still continues today. 

Following his graduation from University, Matthew commenced his career in motor sales working with numerous manufacturers before then enjoying over a decade of working with Ferrari, both in the Independent sector and the Main Dealer network in both Sales and Sales Management.

The time spent at Ferrari allowed Matthew to develop a clear understanding of the importance of delivering an exceptional customer experience, no matter what the customer was intent on purchasing.  This education, along with the desire to share his experience of customer service and his passion for all things Classic and Sportscar led to the formation of Icona Classic and Sports.

Located in the heart of the Peak District and operating from discrete private premises, Icona Classic and Sports seeks to provide a comprehensive service in Classic and Sportscar sales, Competition car sales and Specialist vehicle sourcing.  The company and its founder are dedicated to sharing a wealth of knowledge and passion to make the purchase of your next Classic or Sports Car a truly exceptional experience.  Matthew prides himself on a reputation built on transparency, integrity and honesty and it is these core values that have been at the forefront of his previous success.
